Toinstallthecalibrationsoftware,puttheCD-ROMinthecomputerdriveandwaitfortheguided
installationwindowtoopen.
Iftheinstallationprogramdoesnotstart,select“Start”inthe“Taskbar”.Choose“Run”andenter:
"D:\setup.exe"(whereDstandsfortheCD-ROMdrive).
Duringinstallationyouwillbeaskedinwhichdirectoryyouwanttoinstalltheprogram.Werecom-
mendyoudonotchangethepre-setdirectoryandrememberitsincetheconiguration,acquisition
andirmwareileswillbesavedinit.
Theprogramiconwillbecreatedonthedesktopwheninstallationiscomplete.
Note: To view the complete advanced version (CAD), you will need to connect the relevant
parallel port or USB port hardware key to the PC.
Introduction
Thecalibrationsoftwarecanbeopenedwithouthavingtobeconnecteddirectlytothecontrolunit.
Toconnecttothecontrolunit,ontheotherhand,thePCandcontrolunitmustbeproperlyconnected
byaninterfacecable(toorderseparatelyasitdoesnotcomeinthekit)andaUSBserialadapter(if
thePCdoesnothaveaserialport),whichcanbepurchasedfromanyITmaterialretailer.
Thecontrolunitmustalsobeconnectedtothe+12voltbattery(red–blackwire)andtotheground
(blackwire).

1)indicateswhetherthecontrolunitisconnectedordisconnectedtothecalibrationsoftware.Itis
importanttorememberthatallthesettingsmadeonthedisconnectedcontrolunitwillbelostwhen
itisconnected,unlesstheyarepreviouslysavedinaconigurationile.
Whentheprogramisopenedautomatically,itwilltrytoconnecttothecontrolunit.
Iftheprogramdoesnotconnect,anerrorwindowwillopen.Atthispointcheck:
-theserialinterfaceconnection,
-thatthecontrolunitisconnectedtothebatteryandground,
-ifthesubkeyhasbeendisconnectedformorethananhour,toconnectitwillbenecessaryto
connectthepanelforafewsecondsandcheckthattheswitchturnsonatthesametime,orstart
the vehicle.
Toattemptconnectionagain,openthe“Connection”windowandselect“Connect”.

pre-existingconigurationinthecontrolunit,itmustbeconnectedtotheconigurationsoftware(see
